WELCOME to the all new
Millennium Art Group website.
Millennium Art Group website.
So you're thinking of taking up Art? If you live within easy access of the beautiful Lincolnshire village of Scopwick, look no further.
We're a thriving and friendly group of (mostly) amateur Artists that meet each Friday in the Scopwick Village hall from 09:30 to 12:30. For the months of January, February and a part of March 2010 however, the venue will be Dunstan Village Hall. We also have a local Professional Artist, Peter, who will help/advise where and when needed if you wish. We have full use of kitchen facilities, but you need to bring your tea/coffee and digestive biscuits!
Various mediums are used, Watercolour, Acrylic, Pastel, Coloured Pencil and more.
In addition to this, throughout the year we have Guest Artists demonstrating their skills and giving tips and advice on various methods of producing works of Art.
We hold an annual Exhibition and Sale of Paintings submitted by our members. The Exhibition is held over an entire weekend, so if you can't make Saturday DON'T FRET!! Sunday is just as good as Saturday! There is Tea/Coffee cakes and more available to purchase and enjoy during the Exhibition.
For the past few years we have been going as a group to the Patchings Festival held each June in Nottingham. This always proves to be a great success, and it's possible to purchase all your Art materials at reduced prices.
We also have a couple of social events during the year which usually runs from September to the following July.
If you're interested in joining us, or need further information, please contact us via email to: millenniumartgroup@kingfisherblue.net
